Q. I primarily use my boat for Wakeboarding, but we do some open water skiing and Wakesurfing. Which system is best for me?
A. The WakeboardPro is the one you need. It offers our world renowned speed based Wakeboard mode, a simple slalom mode plus an RPM mode. All modes are extremely user-friendly.
Q. I have a stern drive boat with 5.7 liter engine. We find it difficult to maintain a constant wakeboard speed; will the PerfectPass Cruise work for me?
A. The WakeboardPro is the only system we recommend for I/O boats. The speed based mode is much more accurate and consistent on these kinds of hulls. Most late model stern drives with a 5.0 or 5.7 liter MerCruiser or Volvo engine are straightforward installs.
Q. We do not do any course skiing, but will the DigitalPro give me more features than WakeboardPro?
A. No. The DigitalPro is only designed for competitive skiers using their boat in a slalom course.
Q. We primarily do wakeboarding and surfing. If I buy a WakeboardPro and my kids get into slalom skiing later, what are my options?
A. Simply add a Timer. We can give you instructions for bringing the DigitalPro software out of the background. In seconds we can convert it to a DigitalPro.
Q. The new boat I am looking at has a free Cruise. Why should I pay extra for the PerfectPass WakeboardPro option?
A. Most basic cruise units are free because they offer limited features and performance. Only PerfectPass offers the most driver friendly systems, a dedicated display screen, world record performance and countless features to make your water sports experience the best it can be.
Q. I have a 2003 Wakeboard boat which already has a thru hull paddle wheel, does this help installation.
A. Most newer ski & wakeboard boats already have a paddle wheel to run the boat speedometer. PerfectPass can easily share this signal. In fact, many models are "plug & play" which makes installation a breeze.
Q. Do I have to buy it from a dealer?
A. We recommend you speak to your local dealer. Most boat dealers that carry ski boats can offer you PerfectPass products. If there is not a dealer in your area, you can purchase it direct from PerfectPass.
Q. How long should it take for me to install a system on my own?
A. If you are handy with basic tools, about 3 hours is all it will take.
